Official
Rules for the CRUFFLER.COM 20th Century Self-Loading Battle Rifle
Prize Match
1. What to shoot: Any 20th century self-loading battle rifle. For this match the rifle does not have to be a C&R; however, it must be in as close to an original issue state as possible. That is to say, if it was originally issued as a fully automatic rifle the version used for this match may be a semi-automatic version. Please report any such modifications when reporting results. Additionally, any rifles designed and built as "assault rifles" may not be used in this match. This specifically excludes M16/AR15 and AK style rifles. The only exceptions to this rule are:
2. Sights: Any iron sights issued with the firearm. No telescopic sights allowed for this match.
3. This will be an open match (no teams)
4. Duration: Today until 31 May 2000
5. Position: Any
6. Target: Any type and size
7. Distance: Any
8. Objective: Smallest relative group size (see measurement rules below)
9. Ammunition: Military surplus - This keeps it fair - tuned handloads are specifically prohibited.
You may enter as often as you like provided you use a different rifle for each entry.
Cruffler Honor Code: Please decide whether you want to participate in this match BEFORE you go to the range. Once you decide to participate, we request that you report all results, whether or not you like them. (You may request the results be reported under a different nickname if you’re really embarrassed!) Remember, this must be a predetermined, discrete string of three five-shot groups, not just the best three consecutive groups in a string. See the General Rules for more information.
This is meant to be a friendly competition. No entrance fees are charged. Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the CRUFFLER.COM Match Coordinator.
